Marriage...

So, my baby is getting married on Saturday, March 29th in the Salt Lake Temple. We are so excited and happy for Aaron and Tasha. Tasha is from Coalville, Utah; they met in Provo when they both worked for BRG. They compliment each other and love each other so much! We love Tasha tons and are happy to welcome her with open arms into our family. Since she's been Amy's roommate for almost a year, we've gotten to know her very well. She also traveled with us to Thailand and Hong Kong so she has seen us at our worst...and hopefully there is some "best" in there too. 36 years...

...and my mother said it wouldn't last! Tomorrow, February 11th, Tim and I celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. We just returned from San Francisco celebrating and also visiting with Angela; her husband is in law school and will graduate this May. We had a wonderful time visiting the sites of SF like Alcatraz, Muir Woods National Monument...(huge redwood trees), Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square, China town(wasn't as interesting since we've been to Hong Kong and Beijing!!!). We ate at the Stinking Rose (everything is cooked with garlic); it was delicious! They have an incredibly beautiful Mall called Westfield; the food court has delicious food. Angela said some of the better SF restaurants have put their food as fast food there in that food court. We ate Thai food and had incredible cookies and cream puffs for dessert. Jack is adorable and jabbers all the time...and growls too!

Here's Jack and Grandma (only my arm) having a fashion show. I bought him some new big boy Sunday clothes and we were showing his Mom. They will all be here in 9 hours and we are having a difficult time being patient! Can't wait to kiss those chubby cheeks and rock him in the new rocking chair.

Looking forward to...

Thanksgiving and having all the family here. Angela, Tommy and Jackson arrive Thursday morning about 9am and stay until Monday night about 7pm. Plans are that we are going to Tim's sister's home for dinner. After dinner we're talking about going to see Bee Movie, the new animated movie where Jerry Seinfeld, Renee Zellweger, John Goodman and Matthew Broderick are the voices for the characters. We also might spend a night at the cabin in Midway. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I love you and am thankful for you.

New job

I accepted a job in the Commissioner's Office for Higher Education. They wanted me and waited until I returned from China to post the job. I'm looking forward to learning new things but I'm also a little afraid...will this old dog be able to learn new tricks???

We need a Jack fix!

Jack and Angela left Wednesday night and we miss them! Luckily they'll be back for Thanksgiving, then again the week after Christmas.
